Forefront Client Security – hangs Terminal Servers

Changed from McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.50i to Microsoft Forefront Client Security. Terminal Servers run Windows Server 2003 SP2 and Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 R04.

Had an issue that only became apparent when we let a few test servers go live. The servers would just stop responding after a few hours. Issue did not occur on servers with very low user counts, we had one that only a single person was using and it never did this.

Seems like this is a long-term issue, it’s recorded on Connect. So we’re now back to using McAfee again (which we had no issues with, the decision to change was financially motivated).
